In an era during which the tensions between the governments of Russia and America appear to be growing and nuclear proliferation is staging its comeback, it is certainly worthwhile to develop a better understanding of the US-Russian relationship. The implications are considerable and, in our opinion, much more relevant than fashionable and heavily-politicized topics such as global warming or gender politics.
We recommend watching this speech and interview by Vladimir Pozner, the acclaimed Russian-American journalist and broadcaster. Yale's Program in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies and the Poynter Fellowship for Journalism hosted Mr. Pozner on September 27, 2018.
Pozner spoke on the impact of US foreign policy towards Russia after the Soviet Union was disbanded and shared his opinions on a range of issues raised by the audience, from the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential elections, to the Skripal poisoning and the state of independent media in Russia and the US.
