Sponsored Athlete Enea Grob Celebrates First Regional Victory
We are delighted to congratulate our sponsored athlete, Enea Grob, on achieving a significant milestone in his young career: his first regional victory in Swiss wrestling, known as Schwingen.
Success in Schwingen does not come overnight. It requires years of training, discipline, and perseverance. Enea's recent victory is the result of that dedication and marks an important step in what we hope will be a long and successful journey in the sport.

For many of our international readers, however, the main question may be: What exactly is Schwingen?
Often referred to as Switzerland's national sport, Schwingen is a traditional form of wrestling with roots dating back several centuries. Originally, farmers and shepherds in the Swiss Alps held friendly contests at village festivals and agricultural gatherings to test their strength. Today, it remains one of the country's most beloved sporting traditions – and one that is practiced exclusively in Switzerland.

Those familiar with American wrestling will recognize some similarities. Like wrestling, Schwingen is a one-on-one combat sport that combines strength, technique, balance, and strategy. However, Schwingen takes place in a ring filled with sawdust, and competitors wear reinforced canvas shorts that serve as the primary grip points during a match. The goal is to throw an opponent cleanly onto their back using a variety of throws and techniques.
What makes Schwingen unique is the culture surrounding it. Respect and sportsmanship are central. After a bout, it is customary for the winner to brush the sawdust from the loser's back as a sign of mutual respect.
In many ways, Schwingen reflects values that have long been associated with Switzerland: hard work, discipline, and respect. While the sport has been passed down through many generations, its future depends on dedicated young athletes who continue to carry it forward - just like with all traditions.
As a company that cherishes our Swiss heritage, we are proud to support Enea. His victory is an impressive achievement and a testament to the hard work he has invested in his sport.
Congratulations, Enea! We look forward to following your continued progress in the years ahead.
