BFI Bullion provides secure custody for fully allocated physical precious metals. The storage service is designed as an integral part of the broader BFI wealth preservation framework — separating ownership, custody and execution while ensuring transparency and operational continuity.

Most bullion products — including the standard and core selections — are eligible for storage under the two BFI custody options: Private Storage and Key Box Storage, subject to metal type, storage location, and format considerations.
Our fully segregated Private Storage is available across all BFI Bullion vaulting locations.
Specific bars and coins are held separately from those of other clients. Where applicable, bars are identified via serial numbers and product attributes, as reflected in the storage report and online holdings overview.
This structure enables prompt execution of delivery, sale, or transfer requests without fabrication costs or operational delays — combining structural safety with transactional flexibility.
Key Box Storage is available exclusively in Switzerland with a minimum value of CHF250,000.
Metals are secured in a sealed metal box accessible only with the client’s personal key. Even BFI Bullion does not have access to the contents. The format allows the storage of bullion as well as collectibles or heirlooms without prior assaying.
This structure provides maximum privacy and jurisdictional stability, though transactions may require additional coordination due to the exclusive access. Key Box Storage is generally available exclusively in Switzerland, subject to a minimum value of CHF250,000.
All storage locations operate under uniform high‑security standards with full insurance and regular audits. Choosing a custody jurisdiction is a strategic decision influenced by residence and personal circumstances.
Switzerland remains the preferred location for many clients due to stability, governance and the established treatment of investment‑grade metals held in custody.
Depending on the custody configuration, BFI Bullion supports jurisdictional flexibility and, where required, the rapid relocation of holdings as part of broader contingency or “Plan B” considerations.
